Christian Community Service The following is a list of opportunities to serve our community. Please use the contact information listed below to sign up or get more information. | - Father Bill's: Starting in September, on the last Sundays of the month, St. Helen's will be cooking & serving for Fr. Bill's. Contact Cathy Kennedy at 781-659-9344.
- Fred the Shed at the Norwell Library is now open. Contact Mary Caldwell at 781-659-4279. She is looking for students to organize and be available while the used book shed is open - hours are flexible. Great opportunity!
- Norwell Knoll Nursing Home: Contact them directly at 781-659-4901.
- Cradles to Crayons: Volunteer individually or in groups to help sort, clean and pack gift bags. Contact Lindsey Jensen at 617-471-8417. For more information visit their website at www.cradlestocrayons.org.
- Babysit for free for those families truly in need.
- Food Pantry: Start a food drive to collect and bring food to the pantry. Volunteer by calling 781-267-9683 or email director@friendsofnorwell.org for more information.
- Council on Aging: Call to volunteer to rake leaves, mow lawn or shovel snow for someone elderly. Contact the Council at 781-659-7878 or Norwell Housing at 781-659-7960.
- Gather friends for a clean-up day at certain areas in town, for example playground, church property, etc.
- Friendship Home: Contact Wilma Goodhue at 781-740-9507 or by email at friendshiphome@earthlink.net.
- Special Olympics: Contact Patty Nothagle at 781-383-6354.
- Parish Activities: Contact the Religious Ed office for the more information on any of the following.
- Teacher's assistant for Religious Ed classes
- Choir member
- Lector at Family Masses
- Eucharistic Minister (for those that have received Confirmation, contact Fr. Maguire)
- Offertory collectors at Family Masses
